Everwell Specialty Pharmacy was founded in 2003 by pharmacist Chris Schulte. A Louisiana native, Chris attended pharmacy school at Northeast Louisiana University, which later became the University of Louisiana at Monroe College of Pharmacy. Now, as a successful pharmacist and business owner, he owns and operates a compounding pharmacy like no other that serves patients across the country.
After moving to Pensacola shortly after completing pharmacy school, Chris became a retail pharmacist at a grocery store pharmacy. It was through this experience that he realized the patient education system was broken, and he wanted to fix it. Chris would achieve this through founding Pensacola Apothecary, a compounding pharmacy where he could ensure patients received the mentorship they needed to correctly and effectively use their medications to achieve better outcomes.
Always willing to take on a challenge, Chris thrived at making compound prescriptions and treatments that other pharmacies couldn’t (or wouldn’t) make, and Pensacola Apothecary became a premier provider of bio-identical hormones for thousands of women and men who sought hormone therapy but were concerned by the risks of using conventional hormones. After attending numerous continuing education seminars on the benefits of bio-identical hormones, Chris became a strong supporter of patients’ rights to bio-identical hormone therapies. He lobbies annually on Capitol Hill with the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists to educate politicians on why these therapies are important to patients and to help protect and maintain patient access to them.
